Waiting on a bus or train, riding your bike to work, or walking? Bring the rain gear as showers, some heavy, are in the forecast through the morning commute. Afternoon thunderstorms are also possible and need to be factored in for those who brave the elements to get back home.

North of Vancouver, a single lane in either direction of SR 502 will close intermittently with flaggers directing traffic 9 a.m.-3 p.m. daily through Friday, May 12. Road widening construction happens on SR 502 between I-5 to Battle Ground.

Heads up Beaverton drivers: Southwest Farmington Road road work will cause delays this weekend, May 19-21. Flaggers will direct traffic from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. through a zone from Southwest Rose Lane to Murray Boulevard. Work includes excavation, curb and sidewalk building and paving on the east side of the intersection of Farmington and Murray.

Travelers are advised to use alternative routes including Tualatin Valley Highway and Allen Boulevard.
